Emanuele Marchetti is an Italian drummer/musician, percussionist, band leader and drum teacher.

Born in Ancona (Italy) on January the 26th 1981, he grew up in a family of artists; his father Doriano is a flute and saxophone player, professional musician, music teacher, orchestra director and composer and his mother Elisabetta is a singer.

His parents gave him the musical education and inspiration since his very early age; from his father he has received the instrument education whereas his mother passed down to him her passion of listening to records and music from the 70’s and 80’s.

He started his studies on violin and piano at the age of 6 by studying at the private music conservatory and getting a degree on music theory and solfeggio.

After he left his studies as he realized that violin wasn’t his true instrument and his true path, in the meanwhile he has discovered a passion for a different kind of art: the b-boying or break dance.

Dancing started for him 1999 and for the next sixteen years he has followed the way of the dance and performances, being also an event organizer of international breakdance competitions for 4 consecutive years and a dance teacher and choreographer in dance schools for 5 years.

In 2007, moved by the passion for b-boying and hip hop culture, he has approached the art of DJing by getting his first pair of turntables and started digging vinyls of any type of genre.

Through “BREAK” DJing (a turntablism technique which involves drum breaks loops) he has been always influenced by rhythms and grooves and thanks to those inspirations he has decided to resume his musical studies and approach to his ultimate instrument: the drums.

Started as a self-taught first and then followed by his Italian former drum teacher Andrea Morandi, well renowned session drummer and musician resident in his hometown, he starts his journey into drumming studying Jazz, Rudiments and different musical styles motivated by his teacher, and performing with cover/jazz bands locally in venues and clubs.

After received a news about a successful audition to study at the Institute of Contemporary Music and Performance based in London, he has decided to relocate to pursue his drummer career and education accomplishing an Higher Diploma in Music Performance and a First Class Honours Bachelor Degree in Creative Music Performance at the Falmouth University/DIME Online Detroit Institute of Music Education.

He's one of the private students of the legendary Gabor Dornyei (Thunder Duo, Stanley Jordan), worldwide renowned clinician and session drummer and he also studied with big names in the music industry such as Paul Elliott (Guthrie Govan, Frank Gambale), Fergus Gerrand (Sting, Madonna, Duran Duran), Justin Scott (Placebo) and Chuck Sabo (Elton John, Natalie Imbruglia, Marcella Detroit).

London based, he’s the drummer for the Pop/rock cover party trio "MONKHOUSE" and the funk/soul trio "Seb Stone and The Carnival Jam", keeping a busy schedule as session drummer/percussionist for different artists and singer-songwriters both live and studio and giving private drum lessons.
